Part 2: Why all addiction works the same way



In part 2 of this video, I do a quick recap of part 1 about the cycle of addiction and how all addictions are the same in nature.


Once we've got that sorted, I explain a simple way out of addiction by actually feeling the feelings that we believe the addiction helps with. Once we know that feelings move all by themselves, the behaviour or substance we are innocently addicted to, starts to look less necessary.


This is different to much of the support for addiction, which typically looks at behaviour change, or trying to use truck loads of willpower to beat an addiction. Sometimes these approaches help. But if you've tried that before and it hasn't led to long lasting change, give this video a go, as an intro to the understanding I support people with in my coaching business.
