BREAK UP WITH ADDICTION:
8 WEEK 1:1 COACHING PROGRAMME FOR AN ADDICTION-FREE LIFE

ONE TO ONE

4 Simple Steps to ‘BREAK UP WITH ADDICTION'

Are you exhausted with trying to be free of your addiction or bad habit?

Do you feel like you may never be able to cope without it?

Are you caught in the trap of fearing what your addiction, or habit, is doing to your health or relationships but also scared how you will cope without it?

Have you tried everything else to breakup with this ‘friend’, only to find they still follow you around?

If this sounds familiar, this programme might be right for you.

‘Break Up With Addiction’ has a radically different approach to release you from the grip of any addiction so that you can:

  • Be FREE from dependency on any substance or behaviour

  • Have more TIME, ENERGY and MONEY

  • Say YES to what you really want in life

  • Live your life with lightness, FREEDOM and ease

What if there was a simple solution that meant you could leave your addiction or bad habit behind, and start living?

Most addiction recovery and habit modification programmes are based around trying to modify behaviour, or create behaviour change. This usually means having to galvanise our willpower and 'muscle' our way into giving something up. Or trying to add a new ‘better’ behaviour in (such as starting to meditate or exercise) in order to 'replace' the addictive behaviour or substance.

Sometimes this works…but it’s usually hard graft and you may never feel confident that the change is permanent. There is a different understanding of how we work as humans, that provides the 'key' to freeing yourself from addiction. It’s a lot less effortful and stressful. This understanding starts by focusing before behaviour to bring true, lasting change.

This understanding really does turn habit creation, breaking habits and addiction recovery on its head.

You may be worried you will never be free of your addiction or habit. Or that you will have to manage yourself, or your life in some way, so you aren't tempted to engage in your habit again.

You may have tried everything to ‘fix’ or manage your addiction or habit –

  • Meditation, tapping, journaling, healing

  • Breathwork, supplements, medication, EFT, hypnotherapy, Alan Carr

  • Dietary changes, essential oils, talk therapy…

These techniques or therapies may have helped you for a while, or to some degree. But maybe they haven't brought about the long-lasting change you are longing for?

Or you may feel like you’ve tried it all and nothing has worked to help you break free of your addiction or habit.

"Since working with Lindsey I have started my own business which is growing from strength to strength. I have conquered addiction to cigarettes and sugar, my relationship with my partner and daughter are more loving and connected.  And my relationship to myself is dramatically changed.  She is compassionate and totally non-judgmental!" Aimee, Brighton

4 Simple Steps to Break Up With Addiction is a coaching programme with a radical difference.

What if the key to healing addiction is not in DOING but in UNDERSTANDING? Once we understand something it sets us free. Understanding addiction and habits sets us free.

There is no ‘work’ to do, or technique you have to employ; you can take a break from that.

During this coaching programme you will have all you need to ‘break up with addiction’ so that you can:

  • Have more time, energy and money for what you really want in life

  • No longer fear if an urge shows up

  • Be free of the fear of how your addiction or habit is damaging your health or relationships

  • Quit the addictive cycle of 'stop-start-stop-start'

  • Feel good about yourself again

  • No longer be in a draining battle with yourself and your mind, so that you have more energy

  • Do less, but gain more peace, calm and time for yourself

  • To know, no matter what, you are OK

  • Live your life with a lightness and ease you may not have felt for many years

This approach is simpler than everything else on offer, giving you less to do, not more, so that you can live your life to the fullest.

This is long-lasting change; you won’t need any techniques or tools; you won’t have to remember what to do and when. This is an understanding you will carry with you, wherever you go, in any situation.

This truly is change with a radical difference.

Please know that this understanding helps ALL habits and addictions, no matter the flavour. Because the process is only working one way, all of the time. So if you are struggling with drinking, smoking, over- or undereating, shopping, sex addiction, internet addiction, smart phone addiction etc, it’s all working the same way (which is actually good news, as it's much simpler than we think to break free!)

"Working with Lindsey is profoundly transformational and lasting change happens very quickly. The diagnostic process is laser guided and straight to the heart of the issue. I am very lucky to have had Lindsey as the catalyst for some major breakthroughs and would in a heartbeat, entrust the welfare of my friends and family to her."  Jonathan, London

'Happy And Free: Breaking Up With Habits and Addiction'

IN 4 EASY STEPS WE'LL COVER:

1.Understanding the experience of addiction and urges from a completely new vantage point. One that will ultimately help you break free. We'll explore the thought-feeling-behaviour connection, as well as the role of the brain in habit formation.

2. Understanding the development of your addiction or habit from a different, kinder perspective. We'll look at how it is part of the brilliant design of human beings, not a symptom of a ‘broken’ you.

3. Why there is no need for techniques to help dissolve urges. This is an understanding you can carry into any circumstance.

4. How all the resilience, confidence and capability you'll ever need to cope with life challenges is already built in to you.

“I originally approached Lindsey feeling lost. I needed help making some big decisions. Lindsey has inspired me to look at life differently in so many ways - to trust that inner wisdom will steer your decisions and that all of us have the resilience to cope with any experience life gives us. Lindsey has given me the confidence to have faith in the fact that everything will happen entirely as it is meant to.. and has reminded me that I just need to enjoy the journey!” Kirsty, Brighton

  • How is this way of helping me with anxiety different?
Most therapies or techniques look to stop the feeling of anxiety through various means. Or they look at behavioural change so that you don’t feel anxious. They might view you as an ‘anxious person’, maybe even with a diagnosis such as Generalised Anxiety Disorder. You may have been told you will have to manage your anxiety for the rest of you life but will never be free of it. The approach in this coaching programme views the experience of anxiety in a completely different way, that has nothing to do with who you are as a person. Other approaches innocently misidentify with the mind and the feelings of anxiety as being who you are, and/or are something that can be managed. This coaching programme offers a simple, yet profound understanding of how we function as humans, that is technique-free, so that you finally understand the anxious experience which ultimately sets you free.
  • I'm not anxious but I worry a lot, can this programme help me too?
Worry can be seen as simply 'low grade' anxiety. With worry, we tend to notice it less as the experience isn't as intense and it may not impact our lives in the same way. However it can also hold us back in many ways. The content and coaching experience in 'Break Up With Anxiety' is absolutely helpful for worry too (I wanted to call this programme 'Break Up With Anxiety and Worry' but it was too long!)
  • But I have health/social/driving anxiety, or panic attacks, OCD. Will this programme still work for me?
Even though it looks very true that different types of anxiety may need different ‘treatments’ or approaches, the simplicity of the understanding I am trained in means that it is effective for any type of anxiety, and also OCD. The content of what the mind choses to focus on doesn’t matter (such as health or driving). It’s seeing how the mind is working that brings freedom.
  • Will this approach work for me?
Whilst I cannot guarantee an outcome from this coaching programme, what I can guarantee is that I will provide the ‘container’ in which you have the best possible chance of breaking up with anxiety. It does require you to show up and fully engage with the process. I will support you in any way I can to help you break up with anxiety.
  • What is the difference between coaching and therapy?
There are many different types of both coaching and therapy. Broadly speaking, therapy mostly looks at exploring the past, or what has happened in our life. Often strategies and techniques are taught to help someone to cope. The focus of this coaching is somewhat different in that it’s less about coping and strategies, and more about understanding anxiety. Understanding anxiety can bring freedom from it. We also focus on realising (maybe for the first time) that we are not broken and our wellbeing is always present. The relationship between coach and client tends to differ from therapist and client. There is contact in-between sessions, unlike in the therapy model, and a more personal nature to the coaching relationship.
  • Why chose me as your coach?
As well as being a fully certified Change Coach and Registered Three Principles Practitioner, I am also a former anxious and worried person. Not only do I coach from my training but also from my own direct experience as a human being, who has suffered with worry and anxiety for most of my life. This is the only understanding that has truly given me freedom (as well as many of my clients).
  • How are the coaching sessions carried out?
Coaching sessions are carried out via Zoom. You will be given a link to my online calendar to book your sessions. All sessions are recorded.
  • How does the WhatsApp coaching work?
You simply voice message, or type your questions, issues, reflections into WhatsApp. You can send me as many messages as you like and I will reply once within 24 hours (almost always it’s sooner) during the business week (Monday through Friday)
  • What is the payment plan?
The first payment of £877 is due before you start your coaching programme, and the second payment of £500 is due 4 weeks later
  • How long does 'Break Up With Anxiety' coaching programme last?
The minimum amount of time you need to commit to is 8 weeks. Mostly my clients have a weekly coaching session but things come up and sometimes we have a weeks 'break'. So the coaching programme may take 9 or 10 weeks up to a maximum of 12 weeks. All coaching sessions must be taken within 12 weeks of the start date.
  • Can you guarantee I will break up with anxiety?
Sorry but no! I can't guarantee that you will never feel anxious or worried again. This is a partnership and so much of the success of this programme will be down to how you show up. What I can guarantee that as your coach I will provide everything you need to have the best possible chance of breaking free. And that the understanding I share has helped 1000s of people around the world to break free (including me!)

“Just wanted to say how helpful I have found the support you've given me as well as the audios. I feel so much more myself this last week and am noticing those 'crossing of roads' a lot more and able to manage them more of the time! I'd also never realised worrying never has gotten me anywhere until I listened to that audio (which sounds silly I know!). I am hoping I am not the only one who feels it is almost too easy though! Like it should be harder to get out of such a difficult spot, especially when previously all the anxiety support, I've had has been a lot more involved (and less effective I'd say!)! Obviously, I know things may go up and down and also that returning to work may add a new level of complexity but I feel much more up to facing that! So, thank you a million for your support, I really wouldn't be here without your help!” Emma B, Kent
