Thought and feeling are one power

Updated: Mar 6, 2023

What if your feelings are a reflection of your thinking or consciousness? Rather than a reflection of what is going on in your life?

Our experience of life comes to us via our thinking about life, as opposed to life itself. Feeling and thought are the faces of the same coin…we have a thought and a nanosecond later we receive the feeling of that thought. Our five senses bring the emotion to life for us, including in our body.

It’s the same principles as turning on a light…we flip the switch and almost immediately the light bulb comes on. So it is with our thinking and feeling. So fast we rarely don’t see one preceding the other.

Feeling is the visible face of thought. They are one power. One divine power gifted to us so we may experience life consciously, in full technicolour, with a full range of emotions and experiences.

That’s not to say that the outside world isn’t happening or doesn’t have an influence on our experience, but it is not a determinant of our experience. Experience of life comes via our thinking about it. I'm sure you have seen that two people can have very different experiences of the exact same event. Luckily, as the power of Thought is always open to change, so is our experience of our lives.

I find it so liberating to know that my feelings are coming from my thoughts, or level of consciousness, rather than the outside world. It means I can take trying to control the events in my life off my to-do-list (it didn't work very well anyway!). If you would like to explore this groundbreaking understanding with me, please do get in touch to discuss coaching options.
