Imagine if you will that you are holding a cork under the water by the side of a lake. If you let go of the cork, its natural trajectory is rise up to the surface. The only thing that might get in its way is some bits of plants, maybe a stone or something else on the bed of the lake.
Our natural & in-built resilience to thrive in life, is like the cork. It is not at the bottom of the lake however but is at the centre of our being. Just waiting to pop up. Our inner resilience will always pop up, the only ‘thing’ that can get in the way is our own thinking about ourselves – that we aren’t good enough/strong enough/capable enough, or that we always mess up, or life is unfair…or any of the ways your mind likes to talk to you about yourself.
‘See’ through that and your resilience is already coming to the surface. How comforting is that?!
When we are not as pulled in by our habitual, negative thinking, our mind can become clearer and it makes it easier for our wisdom & resilience to speak to us.
Whatever experience life brings you, know that you have all the resilience and love you already need inside of you. See if you can gently notice how it is only your thinking that gets in the way of this.
