Spiced Superfood Smoothie
Updated: Sep 29, 2020

This smoothie really is a superfood meal in itself! The warming spices (cinnamon and nutmeg) add a delicious layer of flavour. It’s also high in omega 3 fats which support so many functions in the body - brain health, hormone balance, metabolism, skin health and reducing inflammation to name a few.
This is sure to keep you full up, with steady energy levels, until lunch time.
Serves 1 to 2.
Ingredients:
1 fresh or frozen banana
1 cup of raspberries
2 tbsp of walnuts
2 tbsp of ground flaxseeds and pumpkin seeds
1 tbsp of protein powder of your choice (I use pea protein)
2 tbsp coconut yoghurt (optional but adds a lovely creaminess)
½ tsp ground cinnamon
½ tsp ground nutmeg
250ml plant based milk
Plus any superfood powder of your choice e.g. Moringa powder, Amla powder, Cacao powder, Chlorella
Add to a high speed blender and blend until smooth.
Do let me know if you make it and enjoy it!
