Kale & Cherry Smoothie

This smoothie is packed with antioxidants & omega 3’s, and is very tasty. Frozen cherries are a great way to ensure you eat this fruit regularly, even when they aren’t in season. Plus the fresh ones can get pretty expensive! You will need a fairly robust blender if you are using frozen fruit, or you can leave it to defrost before making.
Serves 1
Ingredients
1 banana
1 large handful of kale
1 large handful of frozen cherries
1 tsbp ground flaxseeds
1 tbsp chia seeds
1 tbsp protein powder
200ml plant based mylk or coconut water
Optional: to add more nutritional benefit you can add a superfood powder such as Maca, raw cacao, spirulina, barley grass, wheat grass etc.
Blend and serve!
