Grapefruit & Apple shot

OK, so it’s a bit bigger than a shot! But this is a quick and easy juice to make that supports the liver and helps fight inflammation. The combination of the tart grapefruit, sweet apple and heat from the ginger and turmeric is superb.


Serves 1


Ingredients

1 grapefruit, peeled

1 apple, washed

Knob of ginger root, peeled

Small knob of turmeric root, peeled (or ½ tsp turmeric powder. Stir in once you have made the juice)


Pass all the ingredients through your juicer and serve immediately. If you would prefer a longer drink, add some filtered water or coconut water to dilute.
